Why my grandparents decided to sell gold

My grandparents owned large amounts of bullion bars, coins and valuable jewellery when they were young. It is unclear how they came into possession of all that gold as my they always spoke unwillingly about their past. It is only known they got the gold from a wealthy family just after the war. Several years later, they decided to change their life a little bit. My mother was born and they needed a bigger house. They decided to sell gold to a local investor. Of course, at that time it was difficult to get reliable advice regarding selling valuables. They didn"t really know how much to expect and how to recognise a buyer that could be trusted. They finally decided to sell gold to an investor recommended by their landlord. It was a good decision because the money they got was enough to buy a huge house near the seaside and provide education for their children. My mother and my uncle went to really good schools. The fact that my family happened to be quite rich doesn"t mean there were absolutely no problems in their lives. They sometimes argued about the money. Unfortunately, such incidents are inevitable. Now I"m going to inherit the huge house by the seaside. I"m not going to argue about the property with anyone. I hope my children will inherit it one day.
